As a result of the Vietnamese Cooperative Development Plan, which was signed during the closing ceremony of the regional conference on food security in Hanoi in March 2017 we are happy to welcome the delegation of Vietnamese Agriculture, Planning and Investment ministers, representatives of banks and our Vietnamese cooperative partners in the Netherlands today.
From 21st to 28th November, each day is dedicated to target a specific field of the Vietnam Cooperative Development Plan. After an introduction to the programme of the week, our guests will become acquainted to the agricultural and cooperative structure in the Netherlands, learn about Dutch cooperative development in practice and land consolidation, discuss access to finance, gather knowledge on a field day and meet farmers and members of Dutch cooperatives and finally visit the cooperatives Royal Flora Holland and Royal Friesland Campina.
Many leading and well known cooperatives, organisations, Agripoolers and experts in the field have pledged to contribute to this exchange such as the Southern Agriculture and Horticulture Organization (ZLTO), HAS Den Bosch, Agrico, Kadaster, NCR, Rabobank, Royal Flora Holland, Royal Friesland Campina and many more.
Overall, the Cooperative Development Plan aims to form part of the bigger cooperation between the two governments of Vietnam and the Netherlands. According to Kees Blokland: “It requires the identification in the Netherlands of committed companies and institutes that could enhance cooperative development, sell technology and bring expertise and experience that can boost the cooperative sector”
