Founders

Agriterra was founded in 1997 by the following farmers’ organisations:

• LTO Noord, ZLTO and LLTB (which together form LTO Nederland),
• the National Cooperative Council for Agriculture and Horticulture (NCR),
• the Dutch Foundation of Cooperating Women's Organisations (SSVO), and
• the Dutch Agricultural Youth Organisation (NAJK).

Together they form Agriterra’s Board of Directors. 
The board is made up of six members and its Chairman is Sjaak van der Tak (LTO). 
The other members are:

• José Vroonland (Vrouwen van Nu)
• Rob Donker (NCR)
• Dirk Johan Bruins (LTO Noord)
• Hans Schuil (CFO Cosun)
• Roy Meijer (NAJK)
• Mirjam ‘t Lam

Agri-agency

Agriterra is an internationally operating Dutch agri-agency; a not-for-profit foundation for development cooperation that is steered by the (young) Dutch farmers’, women’s and agribusiness’ organisations,  all representative branch and business organisations from the agricultural sector.
