Team East Africa - Youth, gender and sustainable agriculture

The transversal themes youth, gender and sustainable agriculture are getting special attention: the empowerment of women for example, will be kept high on the agenda with the requirement of at least 30% female project participants. To Agriterra the role of young farmers is not a hype, but it is part of our nature. Therefore, the Young Farmers Tour is one of the yearly events that inspires, connects and exposes YP's (young board members and managers) to new experiences and knowledge that can be applied in their organisation. In the future, when Agriterra makes company assessments, we will take the effects of local climate changes into consideration and risk assumptions will include climate issues.
